Mazur Manor: Demolition

The Aftermath of our First Disaster

During our first storm, a tree from the neighbor's yard had a huge limb fall down onto the play set the past owners left behind. By now, Austin's removed the limb, processed the wood, and burned the rest! Leaving me a spider ridden, rickety, old swing set to take down.

But... I'm proud to say I did it all by myself.

The remainder of the day I gathered up all of the brick that Austin threw down from the roof when he removed the chimney, and wheel barrow-ed it down by the fire pit. Drenched in sweat, forearms burning, I did it... but it wasn't fun.

I know I signed up for a lot of work with this house, but I don't think I realized how painful a lot of it would be. I'm left with blisters on my hands, a sunburn across my back and forehead, and I came pretty darn close to a few show-downs with spiders!

I'm certain these minor projects are the least of what's to come. For now, I'll rest in the bliss of my freshly made bed and the air conditioning that now works... Thank. The. Lord.

...and to aspire to live quietly, and to mind your own affairs, and to work with your hands, as we instructed you... 1 Thessalonians 4:11
