Mazur Manor: Spring-ing Into Summer

After trying various other locations, I've finally settled on a spot for the garden. The end of the deck had weird elevation changes and too much shade. The sidewalk border got pretty much no sun and was too small. Austin's been driving his truck over pretty much every other part of the property, but LOOK! I FOUND A SPOT, and it's all mine!
So, it could easily be argued that Austin and I were a little ambitious in purchasing this home. We've sure inherited a lot of baggage, and having land is a commitment in itself. But I'm feeling energetic, and the nice weather and sunshine has got me feeling motivated.
Sure, it took me three tries to find the perfect place for a garden. Sure, that meant lots of digging and transplanting. Yes, I even bought a tiller. I've poured all of my energy into this thing!
But hey, I've got heart. And now I've got veggies too. :)
Something about summer always stirs my heart to desire growth. I find myself convinced of my own green thumb - despite my success or failure at keeping plants alive. I love seeing the green on the trees and the different flowers blooming all around. The subtle sound of birds singing to one another wakes me in the morning. Fresh floral fragrances are everywhere, and the crickets chirp as the sun sets.
I could easily be distracted by the annoyances of heat, sweat, mosquitoes, grass growing too fast... the list is endless. But God often reminds me of his plan through the environment he's placed me in. Not only did He create all of the beauty my senses are taking in around me, but he knows it all intimately. He knows every hair on my head, he is the creator of the universe, he has considered me, and he has placed me here for His purpose.
